Advertising for dollars
This blog makes enough to pay for it’s own hosting. Soon, it’ll be paying for Fantasy Sports. Now our take could be a lot more, but I’m not really interested in selling out. I prefer to have control over our content. Now that we’ve suffered thru the breakage and the bugs - everyone now has more freedom.
Linkworth: Check it out. They pay us about $150 a month. That’s just for those 4 ads in the sidebar. I have the option of writing reviews which pays per post. Some are worth 10 bucks and others are worth 50 - 100 dollars. Now that our URLs have changed, everyone here can sign up on their own and make some extra cash.
Speaking of domains. To take it a step further, everyone can now use their own domain. You can now change your blog address from yourblog.realsportsbloggers.com to just www.yourblog.com. You just need to own the domain. If you’re interested, reply here or email me. I’ll show you what to do.
On a side note: Moondog dropped some luv, commenting on our site going down like a Hilton sister. That issue has been rectified and we’ve moved to a dedicated service where we don’t share resources with no one. I monitor the site 20 out of every 24 hours and I get texts when something chokes. I work for you guys, now. Go forth and make money.
Pay per Post is another site I use when I need extra cash. They pay per post. Simple.
I was thinking about a contest. Lets give something away. I’ve seen contests for iPhones and laptops. Maybe we’ll offer free site redesigns for the non-RSB affiliated sports bloggers. Don’t knock it, some of our blogging brethren are getting raped on the cost off their site designs. Just some ideas.
You can post a blog directly from Google Apps and MS Word 2007. Instruction on that will follow in a few days.
Please hit me with anything you can think of. I’m excited.
